About Us

[Below is a basic introduction to Paramount Christian Church. On the left column on this page under the About Us section are other tabs for more details. Consider attending one of our upcoming 1.0 Classes, which has much more information about the church. It is designed for newcomers who are curious and for regular attenders who are considering membership.]

We encourage you to come and check us out for yourself. The Lacey church campus sits just south of Komachin Middle School and north of the roundabout on College Street. In Yelm, we currently meet in the Coffey Place (311 Yelm Ave. W.). Right now plans are developing to expand the worship space to nearly double our capacity & we are actively looking to purchase land. Our hope is to be in a new building within a couple of years. We have two Sunday morning worship services in Lacey (9am - Traditional & 10:45am Contemporary), and a Saturday night service in Yelm (5pm - Acoustic/Modern).

You'll find PCC is a community where ordinary families and individuals build relationships that will last a lifetime and beyond. Paramount Christian Church aims to balance meeting the spiritual and relational needs of the youngest to the oldest in our community. We have programs from childcare-age all the way through the senior citizens. It's a growing church that treats newcomers like family. Kids easily integrate and adults discover that there really are people like them who can relate to their circumstances. Paramount Christian Church has a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere, and people tend to enjoy their visits with us.

You may have heard we are made up of all kinds of people from varied backgrounds. Its true. We even have people here with varied religious backgrounds within their own families! You might wonder how that works. Well, it's simple. We just ask that everyone leave all teachings of man at the door. When we get together, its just the Bible - plain and unvarnished. No kidding. We even ask that you hold us accountable on this, and we mean it.

We understand God sees doctrine as an issue of salvation. The Bible says, "Watch your life and doctrine closely. For if you do, you will save both yourselves and your hearers (1st Timothy 4:16)." We take it very seriously because God does. So, it is always our aim to just teach the truth. Our preacher often says, You dont need my interpretation. All you need is Scripture, not my opinion of it. He also says, God says what He means and means what He says. If doctrine is vital in Gods mind, then why not just use His teachings?

Oh, the preaching? We have a young preacher who came to us with incredible credentials and experience. His messages aren't like sermons. No, listening to him is more like listening to a motivational speaker who tells it like it is. Sure, he gets deep enough to wet the appetites of the theological intellects, but he always speaks in such a way that everyone understands him. It's almost as if he picks you up out of your chair with his words, and then sets you back down when he's done. By the time its all over, the 20 to 30 minute message has flown by. And we're not talking Hellfire and Brimstone or even Light and Fluffy either. Its just down to earth preaching with the right mixture of confidence, humility, seriousness, and humor. You should come and listen. You'll be glad you did.

We have awesome music, too. Our Sunday early service is mostly traditional, always having hymns in the mix. Rick Pitman is our regular song leader, and he does an excellent job. The second Sunday service is our contemporary one which sometimes has hymns mixed in, but mostly has more modern songs. Plus there's a full band that sounds like something you would hear on the radio. Our Saturday night service is about an hour, and is an acoustic/modern style. It's quite cozy at Yelm but there's always room for more (we do have overflow space).

On top of all that there's no offering plate? Really! Paramount Christian Church doesn't ask our guests for a dime. Its the members that take care of the bills, so theres no begging for money and no offering plates. There are offering boxes visible as you leave the worship areas for those who are committed to supporting Gods work with Paramount Christian Church. So, if people choose to give, they can do it discretely with no pressure.

Again, we'd like to invite you to be our guest. Bring friends or family if you want. There's room for all of you. Remember, our traditional service begins at 9am and our contemporary one is at 10:45am, both on Sundays. Saturday services in Yelm at 5pm are acoustic/modern in a relaxed and comfortable setting, too. Children's services and childcare provided during all worship services.
