Paramount Christian Church exists to Evangelize the lost, Encourage the saved, and Equip the membership to regenerate in order to impact our community and ultimately our world.

To us Leadership is networking within the community and team-building within the church. It is being bold enough to try new things new ways in order to bring more to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is being out in front, developing relationships, and demonstrating genuine faith in daily living. We believe that an effective Biblical leader produces other effective Biblical leaders. Our leaders regenerate, and begin within the community.

Leadership is made up of the elders, qualified by Scriptural standards set in the Pastoral Epistles (1st & 2nd Timothy and Titus), the pastoral staff, deacons, and volunteer staff over various ministries in the church. The Bible is our guide for all principles and programs, and the elders provide direction in that.

Mainly, the elders prayerfully “shepherd” the people who come to PCC. This is done primarily through the small groups that meet in homes throughout the community. Small group leaders, hosts, and nurturers (small group prayer warriors) all are connected to an elder, who provides direction, care and support – undergirded with consistent and informed prayer. The elders also are charged with maintaining and directing the Scriptural and missional things that go on within the church. They keep the bar raised, doctrinally and philosophically. Policies are approved by the elders. These men of God provide stability, soundness, and spiritual backbone to PCC. We would all do well to come under them and learn from their wealth of wisdom. The senior pastor serves on the eldership team, as well. They hold each other accountable and function as a team.

Elders in Training are men, who are required to undergo a year of intense instruction through internal and external sources, each under a particular mentor, who is usually currently serving as an elder. These Elders in Training come to business meetings once per month, and regular elder training meetings once per month, too.

Deacons are the qualified (Pastoral Epistles) ministers/servants who lead service teams within the church. They activate teams to accomplish tasks within the church, often involving physical labor (e.g., taking care of widows’ handyman needs; running work parties around the church campus; organizing moving teams; recruiting and implementing parking directors for special meetings; etc.). Deacons attempt to take away burdens of the elders and pastoral staff so that those leaders can focus more on the spiritual guidance, needs, and development of the people who attend PCC. Deacons are generators and organizers of doers.

Pastoral staff is led by the evangelist, as described in the Bible. He is responsible to train elders and staff, and to ensure that all meet Scriptural qualifications. He provides the vision and strategic planning of the church, along with his pastoral staff team. This team is a team-building, vision-casting, strategy-planning nucleus of leaders that are the upfront leaders in the church. They ensure that the various ministries are trained, equipped, enabled, and empowered to do what God has called them to do.

Volunteer staff are the key active ingredients to the church. These are the bread and butter. These are the real ministers of the church. Men and women lead and direct various teams that ensure that their prospective ministries thrive! They work hard and smart to see to it that our purpose as a church is fulfilled through their ministries. We value every volunteer staff and everyone who serves alongside them. PCC is built upon a solid core of volunteers.

All leadership is required to undergo an annual background check that includes one from the state of Washington, reference checks, and more.
